Agreed. TacoDeli finds themselves in the same conundrum as Chick-fil-A, where they don’t give a damn about the norm and do whatever they please as far as operating hours.
Chick-fil-A’s is easy: they miss out on 1/7 of their potential revenue every year, this equates to more than $800m in lost revenue. (Chick-fil-A made $5b in 2013. BILLION.)
TacoDeli on the other hand, while not as large and only confined to the Austin market, could be open until 11pm like their competitor Torchy’s. This means the stores would be open an additional 8 hours a day; double what they are now. This website estimates the privately-owned TacoDeli makes between $500k and $1m a year but has them estimated at “10 to 19” employees. Because I know at least 20 people work their flagship location alone at one time and they have 5 locations, I think it’s safe to estimate they’re more in the $2m to $5m a year range. If you double the hours of operation and have just as successful a dinner as your lunch (duh, this place would crush it.), it’s conceivable they could double their revenue.
tl;dr this author is a huge fat nerd with coke-bottle lensed glasses and a pocket-protector + TACODELI IS MISSING OUT ON 50% OF POTENTIAL REVENUE BY NOT REALLY EVER BEING OPEN DURING NORMAL HUMAN HOURS (!!OR HOURS AFTER THE BARS CLOSE!! THAT WOULD BE ∞ PROFIT.)

Get thee to TacoDeli pronto
Run; don’t walk. You have roughly two hours left to pick up this magical taco because this place is (insanely) closes at 3pm.

Bruges, Belgium to Build Underground Pipeline for Beer

Dammit. I wanted to continue my strong disliking of the Belgians and their waffles for what they did to the USMNT, but this……. might have me rethink that stance.
